Why?
How?
We make basic camping just a little more iconic, more connected, more social, and much easier — without turning it into excess.
We replace the boring, one-time-use personal tents (that you have to drag around, set up in the yourself, and let’s be honest, often leave behind) with sturdy, reusable PhoeniX tents that look great, stay dry, and instantly create a cool, connected vibe. A sense of belonging.
Around these tents, something special happens. While they are away from their normal day to day life, they leave old patterns behind and find connection with their new neighbours and that sparks a fire. In mythology, a large gathering of phoenixes is called an Odyssey — a powerful, legendary convergence full of rebirth and adventure. That’s exactly what we build: a living, real-world Odyssey — a community of people who are all rising in their own way. We call it “The Odyssey”.
One small conscious choice becomes the start of something much bigger. Your adventure!
What?
Core Values
These are the values we live by every single day at PhoeniX:
- Rebirth — You can always rise again. Old patterns and old shit can be left behind.
- Personal Control — You are behind the wheel of your own life. One conscious choice can already change everything.
- Practical & No-Nonsense — No luxury, no bullshit, no unnecessary hassle. Just solid basic camping that actually works.
- Connection — Around our tents a real vibe is created. People come together, leave old stuff behind and form a living community — an Odyssey.
- Honesty & Scalability — Fair prices for the camper, good commission for the organiser, and tents built to be used again and again. Long-term thinking, not throw-away.
Our mission
To inspire people to grab the wheel of their own lives & to empower them to move from a passive state to an active & have intentional leadership of their own destiny.
About PhoeniX
15 years ago, I was living a completely different life. I was working in the financial world — good job, nice suit, nice car, good salary, everything “as it should be”. Until my second burnout hit. The big one. The one that forced me to leave it all behind.
I didn’t know what to do next. All my experience, diplomas and network were in sales and finance. So I gave myself three months of doing nothing, just to figure out who I really was and what I wanted to build.
Then, early one April day, I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law. He had made a tipi for their daughter, my niece. I looked at it and thought: “Damn, I wish I had something this cool when I was still going to all those music festivals.” That was the moment it hit me. I still had time and some money from my severance package. So I said “Fuck it — let’s do this.” We were going to build cool tipis for festival camping.
People close to me and my former colleagues thought I had lost my mind: “Tents? After a successful career in finance? Are you insane?”
But I saw it clearly. That’s how Festipi was born. With Festipi I proved to myself that I could do it differently — that I was the one who decides what my life looks like. Unfortunately, Festipi didn’t survive the two years of event bans during corona. After 8 strong years, it came to an end.
The last four years I was basically back to square one. Floating. Doubting. Had I forgotten everything I had learned? The fire inside had faded. Until recently, while working my regular job, it started itching again. “Come on man, this is not you. You want to inspire people. You want excitement in your daily life. Get back in the saddle.”
So now, with PhoeniX, I’m doing it again. Festipi 2.0 — with new inspiration, new energy and even more focus.
Because this is what it’s really about: You can always rise again. You can leave the old shit behind. You can take the steering wheel of your own life instead of being a victim of circumstances, expectations or “that’s just how it is”.
We don’t do this with big speeches or expensive retreats. We do it with something very simple and practical: iconic basic tents.
No luxury glamping. No hassle. Just sturdy, pre-pitched PhoeniX tents that look good, stay dry, give a cool vibe and actually work. For festivals, weddings, sports camps, school camps, motorbike meets — all multi-day events where people camp for a short time.
We rent them to event organisers and their visitors. Affordable, with commission for the organisation and far less clean-up stress.
Why? Because one small, conscious choice already makes a big difference. When you choose a PhoeniX instead of dragging your own dull tent, you immediately feel it: I’m in control. I’m colouring my own life. I’m proving that basic can be better — without becoming more expensive or complicated.
That’s PhoeniX. Not a marketing story. Just practical proof that you can always start over.
You may leave the old shit behind. You may take a new path. And you may have a damn good time while doing it.
In fantasy, phoenixes are often solitary. But a gathering — a “flock” — symbolises something powerful, a meaningful event. Such a large group is called an odyssey.
So, “an odyssey of phoenixes” paints a picture of a powerful, legendary assembly — not just birds flying together, but a rare, awe-inspiring convergence that feels like the start (or climax) of a monumental journey or happening. It’s epic in scale: fiery, mythical, and full of potential for rebirth and adventure on a grand level.
That’s exactly what happens around our tents during an event. People come together, leave old patterns behind, make conscious choices, and create something bigger than themselves. A real community. A living odyssey.
